This is the home page for a digital and broadcast journalism course at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.

The course is technically labelled Tele-5570, hence the name Five Seventy. It is also sometimes referred to as the “Mock Show” or Pre-Newsource course because this is the preparatory course for students going into the Grady Newsource program.

Grady Newsource is an on-air and on-line production of the students, covering news throughout Athens and Northeast Georgia.

On the FiveSeventy website you will be able to see the work of the students in the pre-Newsource course as they develop and create news stories of interest to the people of our area.
