Education Budget is Increasing
Georgia students may be spending a few extra days in the classroom this year. Governor Nathan Deal is proposing to add $314 million back to the education budget to extend the school year. His $8.4 billion cuts during his first three years as governor made it possible for only 56 out of the 180 school systems in the state of Georgia to hold class for the full 180 days of classroom instruction that used to be mandatory.
