Ty Cobb Medical Center located in Franklin County is set to be acquired by Athen-Clarke County’s St. Mary’s hospital. The building of Ty Cobb has pushed the county into debt, which led to the acquisition by St. Mary’s. This acquisition is still in it’s approval stages that could take months to finalize the process.
