Voting for Student Government Association elections opened on Monday. However, the kickoff to voting didn’t quite turn out the way the candidates and many voters were hoping. The site was having technical errors, telling voters they were ineligible to vote. The error was quickly fixed, and candidates notified their supporters that the ineligibility message was an error and that everyone should continue to the site to vote. This year, there are three different tickets vying for the SGA executive spot. Their campaign slogans are “All In”, “Dare”, and “Commit”. The Tate Center was home to many of the three campaigns’ volunteers. They were passing out stickers and other informative materials to help students understand just what each campaign is all about. With voting finally open, the candidates are making that final push to win over voter support.
