Earth Day is tomorrow, and UGA has kicked off an Earth Week to raise awareness about protecting the environment. On Monday, the UGA Office Sustainability hosted a celebration in Tate Plaza with a food truck and farmer’s market festival, along with booths from student-led organizations promoting sustainability.

Jeanette Kessler, Vice President of Bag the Bag UGA, shared with us some of the hazards which plastic bags pose to the environment.

Earth Week will continue throughout this week with several more events, including Yoga Under the Stars, A Panel on Religion and Philosophy, and a Chew Crew Work Day. Check out the Sustainability UGA Weekly Update for more information!
