Tis the season to give back

News

Many organizations in North Georgia are focusing on providing a better Christmas for needy kids. The University of Georgia’s Shop with a Bulldawg program kicks off this Saturday at the Target on Atlanta Highway. Students are required to raise at least 50 dollars before they can become a mentor, and then use the money they raised to take kids in need on a shopping spree.

Shop with a Bulldawg isn’t the only organization looking to give back. The Atlanta Braves are also hosting A Toy for a Tour program, where children under the age of 13 can donate an unwrapped toy to the Atlanta Braves Foundation and then receive a free tour of Turner Field. The program runs until December 22nd so baseball fans have an opportunity to give back and get a sneak peek of the iconic Turner Field before it is closed, when the new field opens in Cobb County.
