UGA’s Next Play is on the Way
The University of Georgia Theatre Department produced a play entitled “Machinal” that ran from March 16 to March 26. Athens residents and students filled the Cellar Theatre in a production that was sure to impress.
UGA Associate Professor George Contini had high accolades for the cast of “Machinal.”
“Eighty minutes of dazzling theatre from a talented and committed ensemble,” said Contini in a Facebook post.
“Machinal” set the tone for the UGA Theatre Department’s next play, “Titus Andronicus.” Shakespeare’s tragedy will premiere in the Fine Arts Theatre on April 6, 2017.
