The “human jukebox” consists of 230 members and previously performed in five Super Bowls and four Sugar Bowls among other performances. This jukebox is Southern University’s band, and was the main focal point of the football game that took place on Saturday. They took a stand against traditional marching band melodies and performed top 100 billboard hits from artists such as The Weeknd, Fall Out Boy, and Fetty Wap, causing hundreds of fans to sing along and dance periodically throughout the game. Some even overheard fans yelling for encores as the band marched out of the stadium while the Redcoat band continued to play their usual post game melodies. Their next performance is October 10th at Alabama State.
